Our Mission

The mission of the Hanford Engineers Week Committee is to encourage students to pursue careers in science and engineering.  All student outreach activities are performed by volunteers, and most presenters are engineers working in our community.

Over the years, tens of thousands of children have been positively impacted by the generosity of our volunteers.  Last year alone, over 7,500 local students experienced the field of engineering through classroom presentations and hands-on projects.

Our organization's major activities are Middle School Discover E and Elementary Zoom Into Engineering classroom visits, and the annual High School Friendly Competition.
