Make a Donation to the Hanford Engineers Week Committee
The Hanford Engineers Week Committee would like to invite your organization to join other Hanford area contractors and business partners in sponsoring Engineers Week events.
Over the years, tens of thousands of children in our community have been positively impacted by the generosity of sponsoring companies. Last year alone, over 7,500 children experienced the field of engineering and science through classroom presentations and hands-on projects. Many of these students come from lower socioeconomic means and/or ethnically diverse backgrounds.
Our organization's major activities are:
Middle School “Discover E” Classroom Presentations
Elementary School “Zoom into Engineering” Classroom Presentations
High School Friendly Competition
Primary costs for classroom presentations include purchase of hands-on demonstration materials and equipment, giveaways such as pens and ribbons, and small prizes such as ice cream treat certificates. Primary costs for the competition are purchase of supplies used in the competition and STEM themed t-shirt giveaways. Teachers may also receive information on how to include hands-on science activities in the classroom and a small gift to show our appreciation. All student outreach activities are performed by volunteers, and there are no paid employees or subcontractors.
The Hanford Engineers Week Committee is a Washington State charitable corporation and a non-profit organization approved under IRS Rule 501(c)(3), thus your contribution may be tax deductible. The Hanford Engineers Week Committee’s Employee Identification Number (Tax ID) will be furnished via IRS Form W-9 upon request.
